On Monday, August 13, Bill Casper Golf will host the World’s Largest Golf Outing. The 2012 event is poised to enter the Guinness Book of World Records, but more importantly it hopes to provide record support for the Wounded Warrior Project.
The United States Armed Forces has always been a source of pride and inspiration for Americans. Unfortunately, as time passes the sense of gratitude towards these brave patriots also tends to fade.
The Wounded Warrior Project recognizes that “the greatest casualty is being forgotten.” Since 2002, the WWP has delivered programs to help injured service members succeed in civilian life while maintaining the awareness of the American public. These programs are designed to nurture the mind, body, and economic well-being of wounded warriors.
Billy Casper Golf is known for managing some of the finest golf courses in the country. More than 100 golf courses across 27 States will simultaneously hold outings for the event. Many courses in the region will be participating; offering a great day of golf for an even greater cause.
Participants will have a chance to win a number of on-course prizes, random drawings, and the grand prize trip to attend the 2013 PGA Championship. Each outing will have winners for lowest score and highest fundraiser. Team pages will be created after registering to help raise donations from family and friends.
